App of the week: 1Weather

This week we go down the weather route. One of the apps that's taken my fancy this week is 1Weather, it's stylish, beautiful, and above all else it's free! It features a stylish 2 x 2 weather widget for your homescreen. It's just the weather though, don't expect to see an HTC style clock on there. It also displays the temperature in the notification bar (toggle on or off as required). You get a 48 hour forecast along with 7 days of weather. The app does feature in app adverts, but for the price of around $2.30 they disappear for good. I've done a demo which is on youtube and attached to this article. Be sure to check it out, and do let us know if you have an app that warrants App of the Week status.

App of the week: Siine Keyboard

Cue the music, it's App of the Week time! No music? Umm, maybe next time. I'm a big advocate of SwiftKey and Swype as Android replacement keyboards but I found a new one, and it's quietly brilliant (sorry HTC). Let me introduce you to Siine

So you thought there was only one way to type? No way! Siine is the first icon-based keyboard that you can edit and personalize – making your messages sound like YOU.

App of the week: HeyTell

Round 2 of our App of the Week feature. I'm glad so many of you liked last weeks app, Any.Do. This week we've got another pretty cool app by the name of HeyTell. I use it a heck of a lot and I'm sure you will to. HeyTell is a push to talk app. It's not like the version of Telecom push to talk which was dubbed "Push to Annoy". It won't just start playing the message immediately, you can go in to the app and listen to it when you're ready. I tend to use it when I want to get a quick message to friends or family and I can't be bothered typing at an SMS. It's super quick and uses your data connection. It won't use alot of data, obviously dependant on how long the message is. Think of it as sending an email message.

App of the week: Any.DO

I thought we'd start up an App of the Week feature on the site. A lot of the time you don't know what apps are out there until someone suggests them to you. Hopefully we'll introduce you to some good ones! So sit back and enjoy the ride.

This week is a to do list app by the name of Any.DO. It's simplistic by design and is easily one of my favourite. Any.DO helps you remember everything you have to do. It's free ,simple & fun. The app allows easy entry of tasks and you can add notes, priorities and you can even share your task.
